Bill Evangel
Managing Principal, Barrister & Solicitor

Bill Evangel has been practising law since 1987, bringing nearly four decades of expertise to every case. He founded Evangel Legal (formerly ELS Lawyers) in 2004, building on his experience as a founding partner of Evangel Taylor law firm, established in 1994.

With a primary focus on Criminal Law and Personal Injury, Bill has extensive experience across all areas of criminal defence, traffic law, and personal injury claims throughout Western Australian courts—including the Supreme Court, District Court, and Magistrates Court. He brings extensive expertise in jury trial advocacy, having conducted numerous trials before juries in a broad range of serious criminal matters. His deep knowledge of the legal system and commitment to his clients has established Evangel Legal as a trusted name in Perth’s legal community.

Christos Evangel
Principal, Barrister & Solicitor

Christos was admitted to practice in 2017 and is committed to treating every client with respect, empathy and understanding.

Christos spent two years as a solicitor at a national workers’ compensation firm, gaining valuable insight into the defendant’s side of personal injury litigation.

Over the past six years, Christos has worked predominantly in criminal law, including four years as an in-house lawyer at Legal Aid WA, where he gained significant advocacy experience. During this time, he developed particular expertise representing vulnerable clients in specialised jurisdictions including the Drug Court, START Court, and the Intellectual Disability Diversion Program—work that reflects his genuine commitment to access to justice for all.

His background across criminal defence, personal injury, and specialised court programs allows him to provide comprehensive, strategic advice to clients navigating what can often be an overwhelming legal system.
